Echoplex - Invasion EP - (Soleil 011)
Unfailing techno master Peter Sliwinski (aka Echoplex) is back with
another destroyer on his own Soleil Records.
All three cuts are
ass-shaking, foundation-rocking funky techno movers and have gone
directly to the top of charts. Quality as usual. ***** (5 of 5) |
Echoplex - Invasion of the Light EP - (Soleil 011)
The Detroit Echoplex delivers this extraordinary EP. With his beats
and unconventional, oldschoolage way he modulates the chords and
brings a lot of funk. Flip side brings more harmonious , sweeping
cuts with very finely spotted sounds massively and, nevertheless,
extremely easily cuts through the space.
"Inevitable" which changes late into an extremely hymnal luck-blessed
piece. A sound which one does not hear in this country at all because
it is just Detroit Techno with a lot of string, from another world.
Tension and energy all the way through. |
Echoplex - Untitled - (High School 002)
Follow-up to Reeko's opener for this Spanish label, Polish producer
Echoplex (Soleil, Synewave) gives us two tracks of slammin' minimal
techno, plus a more stripepd percussive affair with a funky bassline
to close out. |
Electronic Resistance - Futurism - Echoplex Remix - (Sahkatek 007)
Echoplex with a version worthy of a classic Chicago deep House track |
Various - Warsaw Admixture Series 3 - (Soleil 008)
Hot tracks from techno genius Peter Echoplex and three hand chosen
collaborators. "Deep Red" is up first, pairing Peter with Pacou on a
deep, lush departure, complete with warm undertones and a driving drum
track. "Cables" from Hiroaki Iizuka is next, with gritty percussion,
tension-filled keys and left-of-center body-rocking beats.
Side B
brings us "Urban Escape" from Ben Browning, a crystal clear drum track
with cutting percussive patterns and a lush breakdown. The EP wraps up
with two subtle, deep trips including "Warszawa" from frequent
collaborators Echoplex and Damon Wild and "Sub Harmonix," a
subterranean, rhythmic mover.
4/5 |
Echoplex - Searchin'/Goin' - (LL 005)
Two very thick tracks about rolling Basslines in the discreet out of
vision, slowly drifting sequences and unbroken thick minimalism.
Minimal with excellent effects and perfectly used sounds. |
Echoplex - Divisible - (LL Records 008)
The heavy cool tracks on Pacous label LL which Echoplex delivers roll
fat grooves and thick bass drums to make the whole sound full. Very
close and still not overdone both tracks kick with new sequences from
her inside, nice analogue percussive sounds are carried along. Very
much relaxed deepness |
Echoplex - Taking Off - (Mechanisms Industries)
Two rolling deep, Detroit, shuffling releases on LL. Echoplex comes on
the American label with slowly building rides, funky claps and
sequential piano subsoil. Track slightly lubricated with some Chicago
feel.
Everything rocks, pressing maybe a little vague. |
Echoplex - Entire Sound Spectrum EP (Speaker Attack 017)
Believe the best word around these new tracks of Echoplex, aka Peter
Sliwinski who already has something released on LL and Mechanism Ind.
could be best described as PUNCH. Yo, shits, this record has Punch.
Punch, such a middle thing is got between kick and compression,
between Tightness and concentration, a little bit one in the spinal
cord and then stretches like on a wire just like a kind of kick boxer
Four easy, undoubtful however, clear Technotracks |
Echoplex - Stopping The Time EP (Sonic Mind 023)
Very much smooth as, actually, everything what Peter Sliwinski
touches. 2 gliding, tracks with slightly hypnotic piano stick, rocking
to the round beats which do a Beast from every side, which outgrow
thanks to perfectly threaded Deepness in the harmonies slowly building
and evolving around it. One may state with pleasure that one has heard
such a sound already thousands of times, but anyhow above all the A
side does not let go thus at all. |
Echoplex - Just Wanna Be With You EP (End To End 007)
4 tracks settle mostly an easy postal Detroit sound. Smooth yet,
energetic, tough yet deep. Lots of melody or not so much melody. Truly
represents the best of the Michigan state own, crystalline almost, for
the dance floor.
Just but not simply classic. |
Echoplex and Damon Wild - Don't sell your soul EP - (Synewave)
Labelhoncho Damon Wild teams up again with fellow Peter Sliwinski aka
Echoplex (Soleil) for their fifth Niteworks EP
Peaktime A-side while the B-side expresses more their Detroit feeling.
Expect full support from MR G, Angel Molina, Laurent Garnier, Jeroen
Search, Stanny Franssen, Leandro Gamez, Marco Bailey... |
Echoplex - Sidereal EP (GFR 1213)
GFR is back with a little bit more Detroit sounding release compared
to what we have been showing lately. We are very happy to present this
perfectly put together four track EP by rising star Echoplex. The
A-side are the two straighter and more monotone tracks every clever
techno DJ uses to slow down his intensive set for a few minutes just
be able to go back to the driving stuff again! The B-Side holds two
more driving tracks that give me a feeling of mixing up the darker
Spanish sound produced by people like Oscar Mulero with a more
traditional Detroit sound, really cool tracks! |
Echoplex - Live pa in japan EP – (Soleil 004)
While on tour in Japan, Peter Sliwinski aka Echoplex, recorded his
intense live gigs, edited 4 furious superb techno tracks out of them…
this will definitely do the trick for the Techno-massive! |
Echoplex - Epicentrum EP - (Soleil 002)
2ND UP… on Peter Sliwinski's Soleil imprint! Is another Echoplex
release by the Polish maestro! Check the a-side for a killer
percussive tech workout, with freaked out overtuned noize!!!! |
Various - Warsaw admixture series 01 EP - (Soleil 003)
First volume of Soleil's Admixture Series! This ep featuring for
unreleased tech rhythms, composed in Warsaw (POLAND)! First up we get
a teaser by labelboss "Echoplex" in typical Mills/Axis soundscape
vain! On the 2nd track Peter "Echoplex" teams up with young talent L .
Wydrzynski for a hypnotic repetitive stomper, which halfway goes into
Detroit territory. On the flip, Synewaves head honch Damon Wild,
unleashes a true GEM, touching & twisting all the right bobs, this
monostomper will do the trick time & time again…Tip |
